Papers Important

He must have papers. He must have papers everyday to share, to show, to hold on to. If he doesn't have papers, he just doesn't measure up.

I'm talking about my youngest son Parker.

A few weeks ago I went to pick up Parker and Kallsen from school. It was after 5:00 and their classrooms had been combined. When I arrived, Kallsen was excited to see me and ran and grabbed his papers from a table to show me...as I looked at Kallsen's papers, I asked Parker to grab his papers from his cubby (both boys normally have papers to share/show) and he had none.

Parker collapsed to the ground in tears...because he had no papers. Now this was not the first time Parker didn't have papers but it was the first time he didn't have papers on a day that Kallsen had papers. Ever since, the biggest part of Parker's day is showing his Daddy his papers.

That is very sweet! It must have been a hard day for Parker!

Poor Parker.

What are "papers" - or are these school papers in general?

Matt-Papers are work they've done in school that day...coloring pages, writing their names, working on different letters and art work.

A-J - ah, school work. I was afraid that they might be daily assessment papers of some sort.
