Big Boy Underwear III

Parker has just really begun potty training full force this past week. He has shown some interest in the past, but it hasn't lasted more than a day or two. Now he is going all day (while at Pre-school) using the potty. He is even using the potty at home some of the time.
Recently he decided he wasn't going to get off the potty until he was sure he was done going. I think he spent a half an hour sitting on the potty. It's just nice to know that pretty soon the cost of pull-ups is going to be a thing of the past.
One last note to Parker...I know this is the last picture a boy wants of himself on his parent's blog. Just know this...Daddy loves you very much and I just want to share the excitement as you become a Big Boy.

Keep this picture. It will work wonders when he is a teenager and doesn't want to do what you want him to. Keep it safe, though. I am still looking for those pictures of Sara Beth she took out of the album when she was a senior.

Good job Parker! Tommy is aware of the toilet and what we use it for ... but not quite there yet.

Sometime between now and the time Tommy gets to junior high, I will have to figure out a way to "lock the blog down", so some of the stories/pictures don't end up haunting him.

As an aside, do you use the toilet-top potty chair, or did you introduce him (them) to a smaller, floor potty chair?

Anonymous - With digital pictures I think it will be a bit easier to keep those pictures around. We have plenty of back-up.

Matt -

We have both the toilet top potty chair and the smaller, floor model.

Kallsen learned on the floor model. Parker perfers the 'Big Boy' toilet model.

Very exciting!!! I'm hoping **PRAYING** that Derek will decide to go potty on the potty. Preschool orientation is tomorrow. He's one stubborn boy, but I've been saying for a while now "When you go to preschool, all done diapers". He says it, too. We'll see....

Sarah Roo - I bet when he gets to school and most of the other kids are using the 'Big Boy' bathroom and not having to be changed...he'll fall inline with the rest.

Parker uses the 'big boy' bathroom at school without any problems. Getting him to use the bathroom at home, is more of a challenge.
