Orange Mudd

We traveled to Nana and Papa's for the Independence Day Holiday on Thursday afternoon. Papa had the pressure washer out to clean the driveway and tables for their annual 4th of July Barbecue.

Once Papa was done pressure washing, Kallsen and Parker got to playing with the hose. Turning the water on and off and pretty much getting soaking wet. After the boys were thoroughly soaked, they decided to run down to the dog pen (Papa breeds Mountain Kerrs) when they saw Papa heading toward the pen.

After looking at the dogs, one boy scooped a handful of Carolina Red (dusty) Clay and poured it on the head of the other. I can't say who dumped the red clay dust first but I do remember hearing Papa say to the boys.."you'll might not want to be doing that..." as he walked from the dog pen to his shop. I walk toward the pen and I see my boys covered from head to toe in what now can only be described a reddish-orange sludge.

My wife says they looked like two giant walking cheese puffs. I only wish I had a picture to share.
