Several weeks ago I traveled to Rock Hill, SC to pick up golf discs for the tournament at Innova Disc Golf's east coast distribution center. My sales rep. gave me a set of three Dodgebee discs to test.
Dodgebee is a game that is hugh in Japan but hasn't made its way to the USA yet. It is essentially dodgeball with a flying disc. The discs are very soft and washable. The large disc (pictured here) is about the size of an Ultimate Disc or normal catch disc, the medium size is the size of a Fastback and the small disc about the size of a golf disc.
Since receiving the set of three Dodgebee discs, I have played with my three sons and others. The game is an absolute blast. We played over the 4th of July weekend and at Kallsen & Joseph's birthday party this past weekend. I'm currently working with HeroDiscUSA to try and get the game implemented where my wife teaches school.
The great thing about the Dodgebee disc(s) is they don't hurt when they hit you and they are easy for young arms to throw. You're going to have a lot of fun playing this game and your kids are going to love it!
The discs are not available on the retail market yet. There's one place I've found online to order these discs...and that's the Japan company that invented the discs.
I've ordered a couple of more...just to have and I'm looking forward to some serious Dodgebee games in the future. I'll post some pictures in the future of the kids playing...maybe even some video.

sounds great ad.....would love to see some video!!
I want to play, I want to play (really, I want the opportunity to throw a disc at my nephew!).
... but seriously, I do want to try it out. Let me know if you ever find an extra set anywhere.
I emailed my sales rep at Innova, who gave me the discs that I have, and he said they're not being sold retail yet but he would have some waiting on me when I return the discs I got for our tournament. If he has some set aside, I'll see if I can send you one Matt...when I send your t-shirts.
Hi Adam & Sarah,
HeroDiscUSA here. We'll be launching the Dodgebee (3 sizes, 4 color varieties in each size). You can buy Dodgebees now at herodiscusa.com and download the official rules. It's a great game and we'll be looking for qualified distributors and retailers. Teachers will love it as it's much safer than dodgeball, which some schools have banned because of injury issues..Stay tuned and contact us if you have any questions. John@herodiscusa.com
