Joseph had a band competition on Saturday and a band concert last night. At competition on Saturday he was one of only two students in his grade/band to gain a #1 rating. When in competition you can receive a score of a 1, 2 or a 3. One is the highest. Joseph rated a 1 on his solo and for his brass ensemble.
Joseph plays the trumpet. He has been playing for two years now. He has been considering quiting band for next year. After his success on Saturday and being chosen to play in front of all the parents Tuesday night, he is now reconsidering. I think he'll go ahead and do band again next year.
