Tonight I was washing dishes when Kallsen walks into the kitchen carrying his porta-potty with him. He sets it down next to my feet and starts hollering for help as he tries to take his cloths off. I tell him to wait a moment, that Daddy's hand were wet and full of soap suds. Well I wasn't fast enough. By the time I dried my hands off and helped him get undressed (he needs to be fully naked to use his porta-potty) he had already gone. He then picked up this porta-potty (still naked) and carried it into the living room where Sara was watching TV and announced he had just gone boo boo.
Getting Kallsen to use a porta-potty has been an inter sting experience. He first took an interest in using his porta-potty before he was one and actually has used it successfully between turning one and turning two. Since turning two he has had no interest in using his potty until tonight. And I was too slow helping him get his cloths off.
I'm excited that he is ready to begin using it again. It will be nice to not have to change as many diapers.

Good luck to Kallsen (and a cute story). I look forward to these times, although it will be awhile.
Good for Kallsen! And good luck to you two with the potty training. Boy, I don't miss those days! I always just kept telling myself that at some point they would go to the bathroom by themselves. I wouldn't be chaning diapers at 15!
I really want to get to point of no longer changing diapers. We've been changing diapers for 2 and 1/2 years now and have at least another year or two before we start to get Parker potty trained. I look forward to buying pull-ups instead of diapers and then buying the boys 'big-boy' underwear.
I'm pretty sure that Derek will help Davey get potty trained. Davey's showing a little little bit of interest, but nothing to push yet. I REALLY don't want to be changing Davey's diapers much longer. "big boy poop" is just different. TMI!!!!!!!!
As they get older, thing do smell more. And there just seems to be a time to become a 'big boy.' A lot of pre-schools in the South won't allow kids that are not potty trained. So our thinking has always been to at least get to a decent place by the time he turns three...at the same time, you can't rush a child who is not ready...so we've been kinda leaving it up to Kallsen.
well kids..I can tell you all I was not changing diapers when you were 15!!
