A reason to go back South...
No restaurant in Estherville serves RIBS! And I love RIBS! While our search has discovered some restaurants in the greater Estherville area serve RIBS, none of them are known for RIBS. My guess is for decent RIBS! we'll need to do a weekend trip to the Twin Cities or Sioux Falls. This is no good. No good at all.

In honor of you, AJ, when we go to pick up my mom at the airport in Memphis, we'll make the sacrifice and stop on Beale Street and eat a RIB or two...hope you realize what a TRUE SACRIFICE this will be...

That being said, now I am in the mood for ribs. I love ribs. Next time you come to visit, let's go get some ribs. Although not the same as ribs from down south, we still have some tasty ribs here in the Twin Cities.
I was told yesterday that there is a rib place in Spirit Lake. And that's only 20 minutes from Estherville. I don't know when we'll geta chance to go over there...but I'm hoping they'll compare nicely...
So we found a rib joint...not far from Estherville, in Spirit Lake. The sauce was really good and the potatoe wedges were good as well. I can't say the ribs were as good as I had hoped.
