Genes can be good things and bad things. I am the recipient of good genes and bad genes. The bad genes come from my Mom's side of the family in the way of elephant-type skin on the heels of my feet. Both my sisters have this same problem. I recently learned that my twin sister Kara has her husband power sand her heels down every so often and that this does a world of good.
Well this weekend, while visiting with my parents, my wife decides to borrow my Dad's power sander to give sanding my heels a try...

This next picture is a before and after. What do you think?

I think you are lucky to get your mother's feet genes...and your mother is laughing right now...
The question is, what do YOU think??
Better.... Worth it? And my heels are NOT that bad! And, I bet Mom's gonna wanna know what GOOD genes your inherited from her, too!
laughng sarah......you are right...and MY heels are not bad at all either .. as kara and christopher and I discussed a week ago...the truth is I KNOW adam got many good genes from me and my side of the family...the list was probably too long for him to include in this post...he will probably do a post on those things very VERY soon..: )
Thanks Adam, that was better than syrup of ipecac.....I'm heading off to do something gross to Karen for making me look at that. Sara Beth is a strong woman (with a strong stomach).

P.S. I included a web link that you two might enjoy...
JT-I'm the one that was sanded.
If you ever find yourself in that situation, once you start feeling some heat, its time to turn off the sander.
