I Disc Golf, There for I Am

I came across an article in the Star Tribune about disc golf exploding in Minnesota. The article said that in 1993 there were 32 courses in the state and there are now more than 90 in the state. It also said that Tim Gill, the best player in the state, makes his living selling golf discs out of his step van and on the internet. The article said he sells about 20,000 discs a year along with other items.

I was selling golf discs out of the back of my car 15 years ago for the Minnesota Frisbee Association and making them a mint. I often thought about doing it on my own...and making that money for myself. And now there are people like Tim and others doing just that. And they came after me.

I want to start playing disc golf again. I don't think I'll ever get to the point of skill I was once at, but I think I could be competitive in the Master bracket in local tournaments. I'll have to start putting a side money to buy another basket and maybe in the future, once I live closer to a disc golf course, I could begin selling discs again. PartyWright could just become a disc golf company. Selling discs and other items at local courses and on the net. One of the things you need is interesting hot stamps and to buy in enough volume to sell at a competitive price. One day...
