This past Friday, State senator Nancy Schaefer was our guest and she talked about the state of Rabun County DEFACS (Department of Family and Children Services.) Our local DEFACS is in some serious disarray.
According to Senator Schaefer, the Rabun County DEFACS office is targeting families that are unable to fight or don't have the means to fight DEFACS. She blamed DEFACS, local school officials, law enforcement and others. A state investigation has begun. And a lot of what's been going on came to the public for the first time on Friday's show.
Next week, the state director for DEFACS is suppose to be our guest.
