Kallsen Driving

Looking for some fun this weekend, we found an amusement park in Greenville. On Saturday, we went to Frankie's Fun Park. At Frankies children as young as 4 are able to drive their own go cart. Parker was about 3 inches too short. In order to drive, he would need a booster in the back to allow him to reach the pedals. With that, his face would have been too close to the steering wheel and unsafe. He was upset about the situation, but he cheered for his brother.

Kallsen was able to drive without incident. Kallsen did a great job. He started out slow, but in the end was able to go around the track at least 4 times. He only hit the wall once, when another child tried to pass in a turn..Kallsen was aggressive and didn't want the other child to pass him. He did a great job! We are so proud of him. Here is a clip of him toward the end of his driving experience.

The 'Fix' Was In

Tonight after a great day that included a trip to Wal Mart, Zone 7 Nursery and Pizza Buffet; planting new flowers in new flower pots and a nice dinner; Momma, Kallsen, Parker and Daddy played Uno Spin. Daddy thinks the 'fix' was in.

We played seven games of Uno Spin. Momma won three games, Kallsen won three games and Parker won one game. Daddy won no games. None. Nada. I was shut out.

I tend to believe that Momma and the boys had worked on a conspiracy. There's no other way that seven games could be played and Daddy not win at least one game. I'm asking for a rematch tomorrow!

Joseph's Week

Joseph has been hanging out with Mom all week long. He has been growing his hair out and needed to figure out how to fix his hair.(His hair is really long and curly, but it frizzes all the time.) So I took him with me to my hair dresser. He got a wash and trim and watched as I had my eye brows waxed. Then he pointed out that he has a UNIBROW! So I offered to pay for him to have his unibrow waxed. TOO FUNNY!!!! He pulled both feet up and jumped from the seat and screamed. Audrey (the hairdresser) and I laughed so hard that I was crying.

Then he needed to go to the doctor today for shots. When his height was measured, he came in at a whopping 5ft 8.25 inches. Oh my gosh! He weighs 128 pounds. The doctor said that he is in the 105th percentile for height and 90th percentile for weight. He is getting TOO big. Then the doctor went through the exam. Part of the exam was where he needed to check Joseph's abodmen. Joseph was totally caught off guard when the doctor said his stomach was fine and then playfully slapped Joseph on his stomach. Then the doctor asked Joseph to drop his pants so he could check on other things. The look on Joseph's face was of horror! Joseph was so stunned he just looked at me and had to be asked again. I excused myself to help Joseph to be more relaxed. If he could be relaxed!

Next were the shots! Joseph chewed 4 pieces of gum and tensed up. It was a sight. This tall guy with a twisted up face awaiting a shot.

The car:
In the car I received a play by play of the occurences in the office. He was totally morified at the words, Turn your head and COUGH! I can only imagined the way in which his life has now been changed.

Sometimes it is fun to laugh at your kids!

I will post some pictures once I can get them off of my phone.

A Dry Night

Wednesday was a very eventful day! Parker participated in Water Day at the daycare, Joseph and I spent time working on my research paper at the local library, and Adam sold 2 or 3 clients. After work, Adam picked up the kids (I was at school) and brought them home. They played, ate dinner and got ready for bed. As the night wore on, Adam put Kallsen and Parker to bed. (Joseph was spending the night at a friend's house.) Adam decided that he should go to bed right after them since he needed to be at work at 4:45am to participate in the company fun day. Everyone was in bed about 9 pm. When I arrive home at 10:15pm, Kallsen meets me in the kitchen while Adam is sound asleep in the bedroom. (I was not surprised at this! Kallsen is a night owl!)
With today being Kallsen's water day at school, I need to get the boys to school before taking Joseph to the doctor for a physical. I went to help Parker change his clothes and realized that he slept all night in Big Boy Underwear! I asked him if daddy put underwear on him and he said, "NO". According to Parker, he waited until daddy went to sleep and took off the pull-up, threw it away and put on underwear for the night. He was still dry this morning. I am so proud of my big boy! I have no more babies :(
