Back online (almost)

My wife and I are close to being back online at home.

After moving from Seneca to Walhalla recently (7 weeks ago) we discovered that DSL and cable Internet was not available in our area. What is one to do without high speed, broadband Internet?

Alltel. We are buying a high speed phone (Hue by Samsung) from Alltel. The phone is $50. Unlimited high speed Internet through Alltel is $25 a month. Where ever we get a cell signal (most everywhere, other than the mountains in NE GA) we can surf the 'net.

What this means is where ever we are we can plug our cell phone into any computer and have access to the Internet. This will be very nice when traveling. Being able to email and surf on the Internet while driving across county. Which also means being able to actively blog on the road.

This will be nice. Our plan is to have everything up and running by early next week.

Can I Help You?

Last night I stayed overnight in the mountains. I was staying at the Old Clayton Inn in Clayton, GA. I have stayed there several times over the past eight years or so. So much that it is kind of like staying with family.

Last night more like family than ever. I had just taken a shower and was lounging on the bed in my boxers reading a book when all of a sudden the door to the room opened and the over head light came on. I looked toward the door and a lady and her husband were walking in to the room. I sat up on the bed and looked at them and said, "Hello, can I help you?" The lady screamed and her husband covered her eyes and back her out of the room.

Apparently the front desk had mistakenly given them a key to my room.
