Freedom Weekend Aloft

On Saturday night we took the boys to Greenville for Freedom Weekend Aloft. A hotair balloon show that comes to the upstate of South Carolina every year. I wanted to take the kids not for the hot air balloons but for the Frisbee Dogs that were suppose to perform. The website for the event said the dogs would be preforming until 7pm. We got there at 5:30 and the dogs were done for the day.

Eitherway the kids did get to watch the hot air balloons.

Parker is pointing out his favorite balloon.

A Modeling Career?

Yesterday I showed this picture of Parker to several people. Two of them commented that Parker is some handsome and good looking that he should be doing print ads for children's clothing or products.

I'm a bit biased when it comes to my kids. I think all three boys are handsome as can be. I just thought I would share. The two comments came from people who don't know each other and don't know that another person made the same comment.

AdamAndSaraWright.com

AdamAndSaraWright.com will now direct you to this blog. I thought that would make it easier for some friends and family to remember. I get asked every now and then by friends what is the address of our blog.

I've had this redirected several years ago. I just can't remember if I've ever mentioned it before or not. And you'll probable have less typos.

Rich or Famous. Not Rich & Famous.

I was once one or the other. Not both.

Last night Joseph and I were talking about major cities. Joseph then informed me he wants to live in Los Angeles. I ask him why and his answer, "Because if you live in LA you're either rich or famous." I told him that I once lived in Los Angeles. He said he knows. I said was I rich or famous. He looks at me quizzically with his head cocked to one side thinking. Then he responds..."You might have been famous. Maybe rich. But I know you were never rich and famous."

There you have it. Probable I was famous. Might have been rich. But I was never Rich and Famous.

Not Serious...no...don't be serious...

That's a quote from my son Parker. While in tears on the floor kicking his feet and hitting the floor with his fists. Kallsen had wanted Parker to stop doing something. I'm not sure what it was.

Kallsen said, 'Stop that Parker..."

Parker responded, 'No."

Kallsen then said, "I mean it Parker, stop it!"

Parker responded again..."No."

Kallsen then said, "Parker, I'm serious. Stop it now!"

Parker then falls to the floor crying and saying the above quote...

I believe in letting the boys workout their differences. Sometimes it goes much better than the above situation. Other times it ends up with someone hitting the other. Just part of the wonder of boys.

ER Visit

Saturday night about 11:30 or midnight I started experiencing some serious pain in my back right kidney. I had the sensation of having to go to the bathroom but nothing when trying to go. The pain continued to get worse to the point of being in tears.

At about 2am I woke up Sara Beth and told her I need to go to the hospital. We loaded the kids (Parker and Kallsen) in the car (we let Joseph sleep) and headed to Oconee Memorial Hospital. The ER was not busy and I was able to get in right away.

After discovering blood in my urine and with the pain in my kidney, they decided to give me a CT scan to see if I had kidney stone(s). The scan showed nothing...and by this time the pain had started to subside...either because I was given morphine and lowertab or the stone had passed from my kidney to bladder.

After all that I was given a prescription to lowertab and sent home with instructions to make an appointment with my doctor next week and to filter my urine to check for kidney stones.

I filtered and got a stone sometime Sunday morning. The pain is still there, not as severe, and I'm now hoping this is it.

Finally Moved In

We were able to start unloading last night about 5:30. The house is half the size of where we have been living and probable the smallest house we've ever lived in. At least since we expanded from a family of three to a family of five.

This weekend I'm moving a lot of our stuff that was stored in an out building or attic to a storage locker.

At least we are in the new house.
