A Place to Call Home
I have found us a new home. We will be renting a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house 4 miles South of Seneca. It has a big yard and two screened in porches. It gives the kids plenty of room to run and play.

No boogies in my nose
Kallsen shows us that there are no boogies in his nose. The joke is that Daddy sneaks into his room at night and sticks boogies in his nose. Since Daddy has been gone Kallsen believes that Daddy sneaks back during the night and puts the boogies in. The other day he woke up without boogies and was upset because Daddy didn't come to put boogies in his nose. Tonight I asked Kallsen to let me take his picture for Daddy and this is the pose he struck. TOO CUTE!!!

A great end to the weekend!

Today we spent about 2.5 hours outside just playing and being together. Here are a few pictures of our special day. It is Mother's Day, or as Kallsen says "Happy Birthday Mommy". He has said Happy Mommy's Day, but mostly he told me Happy Birthday. I have 3 great kids and a wonderful husband. We miss you Daddy! We can't wait for you to come and take us to our new house. We love you!!

Thank Goodness it's Friday
Well this week has been one to remember. It started off with Adam leaving for SC on Monday. On Tuesday, Parker got sick with pnuemonia. I also was hired by a school district in SC. (HEY!!!!)Wednesday, things began to calm down and I was able to rest. On Thursday, I overdid it in the house. I was looking forward to coming home today to a quiet peaceful night. It was a lovely day. The sun was shining, cows were mooing, life was good. I attended a Mother's Day Tea at Joseph's school. I left work with every intention of relaxation. Life had other plans.....I received a phone call from Joseph. His bike was stolen from school. We have told him to lock it up, but ...(he will learn). I spent the next 2.5 hours riding slowly around neighborhoods looking at bicycles.People probably thought we were casing the houses. We were even taken to the bike impound lot to look for the bike. Finally, after a lot of time searching we rounded a corner and there it was. Thank goodness because I had to go to the bathroom. It was after 6 pm and I hadn't been home since 7 am. Joseph talked to the girl who mistakenly (?) took his bike. She apologized and off we went. Now my relaxation can start..it's 9:15pm. I hope you are having a relaxing night. Here is a picture of Joseph and his bike. He has promised to lock it up ALL of the time.

Pnuemonia in May
That's right. Parker has pnuemonia in his lower right lung. Kallsen woke me up about 1am this morning. He was telling me that Parker was hot. Sure a enough. He continued to run a fever until 11:30am when it reached 102.8. I called the doctor and off we went. With no real reason for the high temp, the doctor tested Parker's blood and took xrays. This was all amazing to Kallsen especially since it wasn't happening to him. After all was said and done, we came home Parker went sleep and Kallsen decided that he wasn't sleepy and wanted to eat cereal instead. As you can see that didn't last long. He fell asleep within 5 minutes of sitting down.

An Irish Man Tells Stories
If you ever look to the links under my blogosphere you will notice a link to Irish Joe. Joe Wade, an honorary member of my family, has started a new blog. If you enjoy good story telling you'll enjoy Joe's blog. This picture is of Joe with my wife Sara. Joe visited Sara's social studies class will he was visiting from Ireland. It was such big news that Joe was in Iowa that his visit was featured in three newspapers with two of those papers making his visit front page news!
I'm sure if you keep checking back with Joe's blog that he'll soon write about being the most famous person to visit a class room in Armstrong, Iowa.

Playin' in the Park
Yesterday was my last day at KILR. I will be starting a new position at a new radio station in a couple of weeks. While I perpare to start my new adventure, I'm spending some quality time with my two youngest boys this week. Today being the first of four straight days of just the three of us.This morning I took the boys to the park. We were out early (8:30) and it was still chilly at 63 degrees. Boys didn't seem to care...as they ran and had a great time. As you can see by this first picture, Parker has no fear of heights. He would climb anything no matter how difficult.
Both Parker and Kallsen love to climb. It doesn't matter what it is or where it is, they will climb.
In this next picture, you can see Kallsen doing his climbing thing. Kallsen not only climbs anything, he is really fast. While Kallsen is fast, Parker can do it, he just takes his time.

The boys are both down for naps right now. I'm hoping they'll sleep for a couple of hours. We'll be back outside runnin' crazy once they wake up.
