Kallsen loves Wal Mart. Anytime we get into the car he says he wants to go to Wal Mart. Tonight, when he was told we were not going to Wal Mart, he said,"but we need wipes. We get wipes at Wal Mart!" I think this is the first real sign of his Southern heritage.
We're moving to Seneca, South Carolina in June. He'll love Seneca. I've never seen a Wal Mart bigger than the one they have in Seneca. For Kallsen, it will be like Wal Mart heaven.

Only In Iowa...and Hawaii
Sunday at the Park
Sunday Morning Walk
This morning I took the boys outside to play. We started with them riding their bikes in the driveway and then they decided they wanted to go for a ride in the wagon. Parker lets me know this is what he wants to do by going and sitting in the wagon. Kallsen, on the other hand, yells..."ride Daddy, ride!"

Moving On
My last day at KILR will be Monday. After 11 months in the Midwest my wife and I decided to move our family back closer to her family in South Carolina.
The reasons are many. Do know this...I enjoyed my time in Iowa and my time being closer to my family in Minnesota. I will miss the ease of driving to my parents for a weekend. And I will miss the nice weather through the Spring and Summer months.
I have taken a position in South Carolina running a radio station that is not yet on the air. I'll share details about the position as I know more.

What About Bob?
If you ask Kallsen,"What's your name?" He answers, "Bob."
He never has said his name. Not sure what the reason is. Normally when you ask him him he grunts. Actually grunts. That was until yesterday. Now he answers, "Bob."

Kids, Salsa and Shaking Booties
So we decided to celebrate last night (the reason coming in an upcoming post) so Sara and I take the two little ones (Joseph was sleeping over at a friends house) to the Mexican Restaurant a few blocks away. We walked because the weather was warmer than it had been lately and the need to just get out.
By the time we get to the restaurant, Parker is so tired he can hardly stand it and he is hungry too. And Kallsen is at the stage where he can't sit still. So we order right away and Parker is crying, Kallsen can't decide if he should sit in the booth, stand in the booth or climb under the table. Parker's nose is running, he takes straw and tries to drink the salsa and Kallsen dumps his lemonade. And this is only the beginning.
As many of you know I drink protein shakes for breakfast and lunch most every day. I normally use a Blender Bottle® to mix my shakes but on Saturdays I use an actual blender because I like the shake frothy. Well we were sitting on the restaurant side nearest the bar. When the bar tender started making some frozen drinks, Kallsen and Parker both turn to look and Kallsen starts yelling shake, Daddy, shake! The Sara comments on the blender making the same kind of noise that our blender makes. Then Kallsen, just when the blender stops, decided to yell as loud as he can (in a crowded restaurant) 'shake, shake, shake my booty!' The old KC and the Sunshine band song.
He learned that song on a recent trip to my parents when the song came on the radio and I was singing the song to entertain the kids.
Kids. You gotta love 'em.

Two hours more
A two hour delay today because of snow. No school yesterday because of snow. It's April 12th. It's been six months since the first snow fall of the season. I'm tired of snow. I'm tired of cold. I'm tired of sloppiness. I'm just plain tired.

Here it comes again...
We are forecast to receive 4 to 9 inches of snow through tomorrow afternoon. It's already snowing in Estherville and the wind is suppose to be gusting to 35 miles an hour. Not quite a blizzard buy you can probable say 'winter storm.'
For the record, it snowed October 13th this year. Today is April 10th. That's six months of snow and cold.

Tripe Extra Large
Back in December I weighed myself on the 18th and was surprised to see the scale read 320 pounds. That very same day I decided to begin a weight loss program. I have also been blogging about that program. You can read about my loss of 35 pounds so far by clicking here.

Growing Up With Kids
This morning I was getting ready for work and when I got my shoes on I felt something sharp sticking into my right foot. I took off my shoe to see what it was...it was old, dried up spaghetti. Red from the sauce and dried up from being in my shoe for a couple of days.
