263'

Nothing but chains. Assuming this weekend was the last chance to play before winter finally sets in and not being able to travel to Minneapolis like we had hoped, I took advantage and played three rounds of disc golf yesterday and three rounds today. This afternoon, on the second round of nine, hole number one, I hit my first hole in one in more than 12 years and my 7th overall.

Being Raised a Clemson Fan

This is my niece Paiden. She's 11 months old. This picture was taken Saturday. Most of my in laws are Clemson fans. In fact my brother in law Heath is a senior at Clemson. Paiden is my brother in law D-J's daughter. D-J and his wife Erica are expecting a son in February. They also have a 6 year-old daughter named McKayla.

PS- for the record, my wife Sara is a graduate of South Carolina. South Carolina beat Clemson Saturday 31-28. Go Gamecocks!

Keep the little ones entertained

Last night Sara went out by herself for a while and I was left with the three kids. I was able to get all three fed and the two little ones bathed. But, as always, it is a more difficult task to get both Kallsen and Parker dried off and dressed in their pajamas without them wiggling and squiggling around. So last night, I called on Joseph to entertain them while I got them dressed. It worked!

Held by Daddy

Here's a picture I took tonight of me holding Parker. I don't think I look the best in this picture but Parker looks great. He has really nice eyes. Parker has been loosing wieght lately. Ever since he began walking a month or so ago he has really thinned down a lot. He has also started eating a lot more. It's amazing at how fast kids can change.

For those that don't know me...

My name is Adam and this is my blog. I talk mostly about my children and sometimes about other things. I sign my posts and most anything I do online with my first and middle initials. Most pictures are of everything and everyone else except for me. So here I am...packing snow in a Frisbee a week or so ago when playing outside with my three boys. My wife, Sara Beth, took the picture.

Kallsen Cooks Pizza Cups

Kallsen prepared dinner for the family last night. He made everyone Pizza Cups. Sara had found the recipe and instructed Kallsen in what to do and how to make Pizza Cups.

You take bread dough (or instant biscuits or whatever kinda a dough you want) and put it into the bottom of muffin tins. You then top the dough with pizza sauce and meat. You then put on your cheese and into the oven it goes.

As you can see, Parker was wanting to get in on the action as well.

Oh, by the way, the Pizza Cups were a big hit!

Trip Farm

On Saturday we took the boys to a farm to see some pigs before they (the pigs) got too big. Kallsen and Parker had a blast. Joseph kept his nose plugged the whole time we were at the farm.

I made friends this summer with Scott and Joyce Griffith. They farm a couple hundred acres and raise pigs. With Kallsen loving to look at and read books about farming and Joseph needing to understand where everything comes from, a trip to a farm was needed.

Other than looking at the pigs, Scott showed us a number of his tractors, old cars and projects he has been working on. A nice time was had by all. I think Scott (he's 64) enjoyed our visit as much as we did.

Triple Threat

Yesterday morning Kallsen couldn't decide which shirt to wear so he decided he wanted to wear three different shirts all at the same time. He has a t-shirt on underneath then a long sleeve winter shirt and then topped that off with a Thomas the Tank sweatshirt. And while he looked as if he had taken too many steroids, he was very happy and excited to be wearing three shirts all at once.

Portrait

Still practicing with the new camera. We used a black tumbling mat for the backround.

Working with the new camera

As we try and get used to our new camera, I thought I should post some pictures. Here's Kallsen snuggled up on the couch. Despite the way he looks in the picture, Kallsen hasn't been feeling well. He's had a fever and has been sleeping a ton lately.

Joseph has been reading a lot lately. While Kallsen was snuggled up on one couch, Joseph was reading a book on the other couch.

Snow Suits

We've been talking about winter weather and how to dress your kids. Well, here's Kallsen and Parker in the their winter outfits. The only thing we don't have is mittens. The gloves the boys were suppose to wear won't stay on their hands.

New Camera

One thing I have noticed is this...If I don't have pictures to go with stories I more often than not will choose to not blog at all. For I tend to want to have pictures. One reason we haven't been posting is much is we've been having lots of problems with our digital camera. It's five or more years old and just has given up the ghost. So we bought a new camera last night at Best Buy in Mankato. Here are some pictures we took as we figured out how to work our new camera...

Boys in Basket

This is a picture I came across this morning. I don't think I ever posted this picture. The boys decided to play in the basket and got in this particular position all on their own. This was back in September.

Three inches and counting...

We woke up this morning to three inches of snow on the ground and the snow is still falling. We're expected to have five inches on the ground before the snow stops mid afternoon. Most schools have a two hour delay. Estherville Schools were already out today and Armstrong-Ringsted schools (where Sara teaches) have been canceled.

Weather Extremes

Yesterday we had a high of 82 degrees. It's suppose to snow tonight with a low of 20. Too bad the really warm weather couldn't have happened over the weekend.

Pictures of my Boys

In this first picture, Joseph and Kallsen are actually playing together without Kallsen yelling and without Joseph deciding Kallsen can help. For anyone that has boys several years apart, this is a good thing.

It seems that each boy gets jealous of the others. Joseph seems to want to play with what ever the smaller boys play with and what ever toy Parker gets out to play with all of a sudden becomes Kallsen's favorite toy.

So also seemed to get along very well the night we carved our pumpkin.

Here's a picture of a really good Parker smile. Parker has really come into his own recently. He is becoming more independent. He's working on learning to drink from a sippy cup instead of a bottle and has started climbing. When I say he has started climbing I mean climbing everything.

Recently he kept on wanting to get to the windows in our front room. It didn't take long for him to climb on to the couch, pull himself up onto the back of the couch and then drop to the backside of the couch to get to the windows. He is amazing to watch.

Oh...and he has also started walking more than crawling. And he's fast, too...

Cheesy Grins

Both Joseph and Kallsen went to he dentist on Wednesday. It was nothing new for Joseph but for Kallsen, it was quite the traumatic experience.

Kallsen was so scared that Sara had to sit in the dentist chair and hold Kallsen's arms with her arms and wrap her feet around his legs to keep him from kicking. When they were done, the dental assistant asked Kallsen if he would come back again...he said he would. Then when she asked if they could look at his teeth again, he said 'NO!'.

The good news is neither Joseph or Parker had any cavities. Very exciting for Kallsen being it was his first visit to the dentist. For Joseph he is a very good thing because it has been a challenge to get him to brush his teeth...and here he is 10 years-old and no cavities at all. Must be genetic.
