Having Kids Can Be A Struggle

Somedays I just wonder why I wanted more kids. Yesterday was one of those days.

Once we arrived home from church and had lunch, my eight year-old and I went to the back yard to do some cleaning of wet tarps and our bounce house. Every thing had gotten soaked at the Stephens County Relay for Life on Friday. My son was a great help in getting everything set up and he even helped clean.

After all the items were cleaned and dried, I told him to go on in the house and get ready for an event at our church that evening. A few minutes later, my wife comes outside and tells me to not bother hurring getting packed up because we were not going. I went inside and my son was is a rage...for no apparent reason.

While we all know there was a reason, he was a great help in the yard all day and he was looking forward to the event at our church that night. It just doesn't make sense to me.

Maybe one day I'll figure out kids...

It's another BOY!!!

Found out yesterday that my wife and I are expecting another boy. This will be our second child together. I have a step son name Joseph. So we will have a house with four boys and a girl. I teased my wife that the tide is turning...

I've often joked that with three boys and her the boys were out numbered. Now with four boys in the house, the tide is finally turning in our favor. Justing kidding, of course.

No name picked out yet. I'm guessing naming this son will be much more of a task than when we named Kallsen Thomas. Kallsen and Thomas both being family names, putting them together was easy.

Eitherway...I'm happy to be alive and happy to see my family grow.

A busy time of year...

I was hoping to change the feel of the blog by focusing more on thoughts and feeling of life in general and going away from talk of work related things. So what I did was deleat a number of posts that were work related and then I decided to deleat everything and start again with stories about Alaska. Then things got busy. Alaska stories will come...

A bit about work related things...May has been a very busy month but also a very good month. Not only will the Clayton radio stations have their best May ever, they will have their best second quarter ever. Last year was record year...and 2005 should be even better.

PartyWright is also very busy. May will be our best month since getting into the inflatable games business. And if we don't get rained out this weekend or next, it will be even better. We will be in Stephens County tonight for their Ralay for Life. Come bounce and slide.

South to Georgia

We arrived home from Alaska Tuesday night. That was after more than 14 hours of traveling...which will wear you out no matter how you are...I'm not as young as i used to be.

The trip overall was well worth it. The beauty of Alaska is worth the price of admission. In fact, if I were younger and single, I would consider moving to Alaska for one of those summer jobs in the tourism industry. Just for the experience of living.

I'll post some pictures later of the sites I saw with other commentary.
